The Anzac Trail — Following in the Footsteps of Warriors

This video, from the YouTube channel of filmmaker Guy Shahar, reveals a clip from the exciting inaugural event celebrating the building of the Anzac (Australian and New Zealander Armed Corps) Trail in Southern Israel. Tens of Australian army officials and representatives came to the event in order to honor their ancestors who sacrificed their lives as they fought in Israel during World War I. The Anzac walking trail is about 100 kilometers, beginning at Kibbutz Be’eri and ending in Be’ er Sheva. The route retraces the area in which many battles were fought by the Australian and New Zealander military forces alongside the British and against the Ottoman Empire.
