Produced by the Israel Antiquities Authority in Hebrew with English subtitles, this video (02:03) explores the archaeological site of Tzippori, the political and religious capital of the Galilee following the Bar Kokhba Revolt of 132-135, where Rabbi Yehuda Ha-Nasi redacted the Mishnah. With some of the most well-maintained mosaics in the region, Tzippori is a stop on the Sanhedrin Trail, an interactive 70 km long path dedicated in honor of the State of Israel’s 70th birthday, celebrating the cultural heritage, nature, archaeology and history of the Galilee.
